Ukulele Builder friends! For the past year I've been partnering with @boswellguitars on the Lost Tunnel Redwood project. We sourced several old growth redwood beams out of an abandoned train tunnel in Northern California and have been primarily processing them into guitar tops. The great news is this time around we have uke tops and will have them available for sale in the next few weeks. If you've never worked with tunnel redwood its a game changer. Very stiff and absolutely gorgeous. If you'd like to get on our list to be notified when these go on sale reach out to me or Butch!

Oh hey there! Its been a minute. Im all settled in to a new shop and (mostly) taking a break from social media, but I couldn't not post a couple of pictures of the first uke to come out of this shop. This one has it all. 5 strings, whammy bar, custom pineapple tenor body shape, and a kill switch. Who can make all of that work together you might ask? Well only @uke_punk of @disposable_nj! Its headed his way now, so keep an eye out for their live shows to see this rad uke in action!

Thank you Maui! Its been 6 years since our last trip to Hawaii and honestly, its easy to forget just how special it is. We did a lot of relaxing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and watching the storms roll through. We ate some amazing food, but also lots of simple poke bowls over fresh rice in the condo (which Imay have enjoyed even more.) There were days it rained hard enough that we couldn't go anywhere due to flooding and others that were so sunny we couldn't leave the beach. My favorite though was watching the sun dip into the pacific every evening. All in all an amazing trip and I have no plans to let another 6 years go by before visiting again.

I'm spending 10 days in Maui with my honey, but I can't not do a little bit of wood shopping! I picked up some monkeypod today, but im still on the lookout for koa. But mostly on the lookout for good beaches and relaxation! Back at it soon, but for now its snorkeling, sunsets, and Tommy Bahama chairs on the beach!

After a long week of moving shops im back to work

After a long week of moving shops im back to work in my cozy new space right next to @boswellguitars in Beautiful downtown Bend (well almost) Everything is in and working, but im not quite set up enough for the "shop tour!" For now heres a sneak peak of a new project. I'll be incorporating acoustic guitars more heavily into my production this year. The 00-14 features a lost tunnel redwood top that Butch and I sourced and milled from train tunnel beams, and a stunning set of Indian rosewood.
