JI006 – Walt’s Zebrawood Concert Uke
When Walt contacted me, he wanted a bad ass uke that he could play through his Marshall Half stack. He didn’t want a classic combination of a maple top with a mahogany back, but something more unique to him, a little edgier. After talking about some options for wood choices we settled on a zebrawood top matched with a black walnut back. To accent the zebrawood there was no better choice than chrome. Chrome bridge, chrome knobs, chrome tuners. A single coil pickup sends all of his screaming leads to his Marshall half stack and hard maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard finish off this one of a kind electric ukulele.
*Why is that headstock different? This uke was built back when our business was called Riverbend Instruments and we used a different headstock shape.
